Pontypridd

Starting 14th May 2012, and continuing until August 2012, major highway improvement works are being carried out in the centre of Pontypridd which may cause delays to travellers coming through Pontypridd.

These improvement works are taking place at the junction of Berw Road, Bridge Street, Taff Street and Morgan Street and along Bridge Street. They will involve upgrading the junction with respect to new lights, provision of a right turn phase on Bridge Street for Berw Road, better access out of Morgan Street and pedestrian area improvements. A bus lane will also be formalised and improved.

The existing pedestrian crossings along Morgan Street and Bridge Street will be upgraded and linked to the junction lights in order to improve traffic flows. The impact on traffic is being monitored on a daily basis.
