Guided themed walks for visitors to Snowdonia

07th NOVEMBER 2011

Celticos has arranged a variety of guided themed walks in the Snowdonia area giving visitors the opportunity to explore and enjoy the renowned and beautiful scenic locations.

The themes vary from nature, historical, local traditions, cottage industry and cultural; as with all of our activities we aim to introduce our clients to the ‘living culture’ of the area, maximizing the guest–host relationship. We have designed our walks in a way that will ensure you learn, have fun, and enjoy a memorable experience.

There is no better way of experiencing the local area and meeting the locals than travelling by local transport, and our walks will be using these facilities to maximise your experience of what can be seen in one day.

The walks vary in duration and distance and details of this are clearly explained in the specific walk section on our website. The day will consist of a combination of walking and travel using local transportation.

As a general guide you can expect to walk approximately 8 to 12 miles in total during the day. All the walks will all be of a low-grade level but, because of the area’s natural terrain, hills will be encountered on some of the walks; these areas will involve walking on small roads and clearly defined paths.

To participate in a themed walk it is essential that you are a regular walker and have suitable and comfortable walking footwear. In addition you should bring other essential walking equipment such as a rucksack, water, waterproof jacket etc.
