New X29 Bus Service
From Monday the 6th of December 2010 Lloyds Coaches of Machynlleth will be introducing a new bus service that will operate between Llanegryn/Tywyn and Machynlleth numbered X29.
The new service will deliver a two hourly service throughout the day (Monday to Saturday) and will provide strategic connections with the company’s existing X28 service that was also introduced earlier this year that operates between Machynlleth and Aberystwyth/Aberystwyth Morrisons.
A spokesperson for the company said :
“We are extremely pleased to be introducing this service through the co-operation and support of Gwynedd Council in achieving a sustainable, quality service that will give passengers the opportunity to travel between Llanegryn, Tywyn, Machynlleth and Aberystwyth.
The introduction of the X29 service in conjunction with the X28 service introduced earlier in the year will provide important transport links to/from Bronglais Hospital in Aberystwyth as well as education centres etc. The company’s long term commitment to quality is not missed as a new low floor easy accessible vehicle will be employed on the new service in the shape of a 37 seat environmentally friendly Enviro 200 vehicle supplied by Mr Richard Matthews of ADL. The vehicle has a multi camera CCTV system, seat belts fitted to all seats for passenger safety, and also a GPS tracking device in the company’s continued commitment to providing punctual and reliable services.

Our aim is therefore to deliver another quality service to our passengers but at reasonable prices as we are a local company driven by old fashioned values.
This is again an exciting time for our company which will bring job opportunities to the area as well as providing a reliable bus service by your local bus company”.
Further information about the new service is available via Lloyds Coaches on 01654 702 100 or by visiting the company’s website at www.lloydscoaches.com.
