Extra Buses for Gower Visitors

23rd JULY 2010

As Gower prepares for a busy summer influx of visitors, sustainable transport partnership BayTrans is stepping in to provide greater travel choice by financially supporting key bus service improvements.

To encourage visitors to stay longer in south Gower and travel backwithout any drink driving worries, an extra bus will leave Rhossili at 2035 on weekdays to Port Eynon, Horton, Oxwich and Swansea. On Fridays, south Gower visitors will have a direct bus to Mumbles; and Mumbles visitors, two direct buses to south Gower.

John Davies, Project Officer for BayTrans added “this is an important step forward in our promotion of more car-free travel to and within Gower and we are grateful for funding from the Countryside Council for Wales and City & County of Swansea which makes this possible”

The new services start week commencing 19th July
