Cardiff Bus Service Changes from 20 May 2012

From Sunday 20 May, services 44, 45, 49, 50, 57 & 58 will no longer serve the bus stops on Wood Street South. Customers should instead use the bus stop in lower Westgate Street.

Newport Bus - new fare structure from 23 April

From April 23rd Newport Bus will be introducing a new zonal fare system. For further details please click here

 Sixty Sixty Service 470

From Friday 16 March 2012, Sixty Sixty's service 470 will be withdrawn.

First Cymru - revisions to a significant number of services from 15 April 2012

First Cymru will have a significant number of service changes from 15th April. The details are summarised below. All timetable changes will be incorporated into our journey planner and timetable pages. 

Swansea City Sundays

Services 2A, 3A, 4A, 12, 20, 25, 31 and 36 will be withdrawn after 1900.  Only the 82A student service will run on a Sunday night. Service 28 withdrawn all day on Sundays entirely.

Swansea City Monday to Friday, Saturday or Sunday

2A (City Centre to Oystermouth):

Monday to Saturday peak hour journeys retimed.

2B (City  Centre to Limeslade):
The 0733 journey from Oystermouth will run 8 minutes earlier.

3A (CityCentre to Oystermouth via West Cross):     

On Monday to Saturday peak hour morning journeys are retimed.

4 ftrmetro (Morriston Hospital to Singleton Hospital):

On Monday to Friday basis two morning and two afternoon journeys will be operated with a standard bus. On a Saturday four morning journeys and two afternoon journeys will be operated with a standard bus.

14 (City Centre to Pennard):

Revised Monday to Friday morning peak hour journey to improve reliability;

the 0747 journey from Pennard will depart 5 minutes earlier.

15 (City Centre to Gowerton via Glanmor):

Revised timetable on Monday to Friday to improve reliability. Most inbound journeys to the City Centre will run 2 minutes later.

25 (City Centre to Blaen y Maes):          

Revised timetable with the service increased from every 15 minutes to every 12 minutes for most of the day on Monday to Friday.

26/27/28 (City Centre to Tesco/Penplas/Penlan):

Monday to Saturday City Centre pick up point moved from St Mary’s Square to Caer St.

31/32/33 (City Centre to Morriston Hospital via Trallwn):   

Monday to Sunday revised timetable to allow service to be moved from St. Mary’s Square to Caer Street on safety grounds except for one local authority tendered early morning journey (0553 from Swansea Bus Station).

36 (City Centre to Morriston via DVLA):          

Revised timetable with service increased from every 20 minutes to every 15 minutes for most of the day on Monday to Friday.

43 (City Centre to Morriston Hospital via Townhill & Blaen y Maes):

Revised timetable with on Monday to Friday morning peak journey retimed to improve reliability.

53 (City Centre to Tircoed Village):

The 1025 service from Swansea and the 1313 and 1513 journeys from Tircoed  are removed from Penllergaer Estate.

82A (Student Village to University/City Centre):       

Increased frequency on Monday to Friday early morning and evening peak journeys to cope with increased demand.

89 (City Centre to Tycoch Square):

Monday to Friday college term timetable revised.

116 (City Centre to Llangennith):

Monday to Saturday evening journeys withdrawn due to loss of local authority tender.

Swansea Valley

120, 125, X20, X25 (City Centre to Ystradgynlais via Pontardawe):         

Revised timetables.  All ‘X’ journeys withdrawn apart from one morning peak journey, the 0725 service X20 from Ystradgynlais; all other services will run via Clydach Square.

121 (City Centre to Craig Cefn Parc):

Revised timetable with the service renumbered X21 and running as a limited stop service from Martin St. to Swansea City Centre.

132 ( Pontardawe to Neath):

Revised morning peak journeys.

West Wales

110/111/112 (Swansea to Llanelli/Kidwelly):

Revised timetable to with services running every 20 minutes on Monday to Saturday.

181 (Llanelli to Morfa and Swiss Valley):

Saturday services reduced after 1430.

302 (Withybush to Hubberston):

The 0725 journey from Withybush and the 0805 journey from Hubberston will no longer run via Tesco.

East Wales

151, 152 (Neath to Cimla):

Services reduced to run every 30 minutes.

X1 (Swansea to Bridgend):

Revised timetable with introduction of new Service X1N to replace service X4 to Neath.

X4 (Neath to Bridgend):

Service replaced with new Service X1N.

 

A/B/X Heath Hospital - Central Way at UHW to Close from 6 Nov 2011 for 2 years

Central Way at University Hospital of Wales (The Heath) will be closed from Sunday 6 November 2011 for a period of approximately two years.

As a result, buses travelling towards Cardiff will enter the hospital from Gabalfa and stop at The Gateway (near A & E). In this direction, the stop in Rhydhelig Avenue and all other stops at the hospital will not be served.

From Cardiff, the only stops served at the hospital will be The Gateway (opposite A & E, outside the car park) and at Academic Avenue near the Dental Hospital.
